Do you ever see a quilt and drop all other projects to begin it? I’m totally guilty of that with this quilt. This isn’t the only one that I have felt compelled to start after seeing a great photo.
In July 2017 I participated in a Bonnie and Camille Star Block Swap. I chose the Patriotic version. I traded 19 blocks and made an additional 17 for a 36 block setting.
Amy Smart has a wonderful tutorial for this block along with a great four at a time method for flying geese. https://www.diaryofaquilter.com/fast-flying-geese-sawtooth-star
I added sashing and cornerstones to give some separation between the blocks. I love a good scrappy quilt! This one has fabrics from so many different Bonnie and Camille lines.
The backing is a wide-back from the Early Bird line and binding is the navy stripe from Shine On. I quilted it with Diagonal Plaid – Pantograph / E2E © 2013 Patricia E. Ritter from https://www.urbanelementz.com/diagonal-plaid.html
